As all of the UK guys on here will know, Paul Hamilton runs VWSpeedshop, and really knows how to bolt together a hot VW- I remember watching him run a 9 in his street legal bug at santa pod a few years back.-

Brian, I like the way you have reconfigured the list so that it shows the Buses with recent and up to date time slips and there is also a Hall Of Fame section for the "Back In The Day" Buses. You have found a way to make this ACVW web site and this thread even better than it already was.

Here is a couple of pics of Linda Valleros Bus before and after the chop. #3 on the Hall of Fame list. I remember when it was still daily driven on the street, it was in the 13s. It was also as, I remember the first if not one of the first to put a Bug trans in.

here´s the wheelerdealer DDD#6 timeslip when the 1953 Barndoor (#1069) made a 13,1 at the 1/4mile ... before the tranny made trouble ...

engine specs:
Type4 2840ccm
DTA ECU
Jenvey 50mm throttle bodies
dual multispark w. 8 MSD coils
2" A1 exhaust

no tach
no quick shift
no shift light
no sway bars
no real working suspension
