Definitly had a setback today.
When starting the red Bug this morning, the left carburetor backfired and ignited. I was able to get the fire out, but not before melting down the air cleaner, engine wiring harness, fuel line, and my nice red paint on the decklid/fender. Plus, unable to smother the fire, I was forced to put it out with water, sending water and debris down the carb.

I have learned that sometimes cost cutting can be counter productive.. You almost always pay for what you get, and...Sometimes you get what you pay for..A free YUGO is still a YUGO. ...The first five days after the weekend are always the hardest.....

Yep... Bad karma showed up.. Sorting out some new car blues. Doug had his PP collapse . Chris brown won best package round one. From what I hear it was nothing to write home about but a win is a win. .. Low car count but I'm so glad I made it put with the GF and her two boys.. It was a good training day.. I packed the drinks and for got juice boxes for the kids. She forgot their snacks.. And the majority vote is the golf cart needs the rear seats added on..
