Here is the sheet.  54.36 hp   75.00 torque. stock 74 dual port. The UTI instructor calculated 64hp at flywheel.
41~68mph at 3100~4800rpm.  First two cars I saw "stingy dyno", 84GTI had 55hp. Dual Weber 1776 Ghia 82hp. I was hoping 44 now thinking 39hp. 54.36 was way better than I expected. Greg's got the video.

Three different VW's for R Run. Fri. 88 Jetta      Sat. 67VW bus       Sun. 74 Thing
Sonic Burger        UTI Dyno         cruise to ranch

We don't care about the power, just that it runs 10.70s back to back...

Thanks Greg. nice vid.   Here's a pic of my power plant. Even has dual adv. dist and oil bath air cleaner during pull. Disregard the rusty fuel filter. May need a fuel tank soon.

BTW: I got back from Ranch Run safe driving the 74 Thing with fake Hawaii tags and no brake lights. Whew! Dodged a bullet.

Yesterday Rick Eichler got the entire nose pushed back out (Porta power) and bumper pulled out. Also did full resoration on windshield area. Welded rusted spots, epoxy, primer, base coat, clear coat, install new winshield rubbers and one glass.  He also painted the bumper cover and prepped roof on Toyota Tacoma in background. I also got my Pro Gas motor back and pre-run ready to race. All this took place in only one afternoon & evening.

You can see the difference in nose from dyno pull when still pushed in. New paint wipers & up.

The original front black & yellow plate is missing because he took it to restore it also.

At Red Barn I picked up 7 new interior panels and a front towel bar for my bus. I hope this doesn't turn into a money pit turning it's condition around.

Favorable air & breeze direction 4/7/13 at Sac raceway netted an improved 19.871 ET & 64.101 MPH for the stocker.
Would of been an excellent day at track to lay down quick P/G numbers.
