Greetings fans of UAC. Like you I have been reading every word on this wonderful new website. I'd like to give a great big Thanks to Brian for creating this site and for inviting me to become a part of it.
I have been in the VW Scene since 1970. I have owned more VW's than I can list. My VW addiction started as a hobby and turned into a business. These funny looking little cars from Germany have been very good to me over the years.
I have been involved in just about every aspect of the VW Scene. From buying and selling, building show and race cars, sponsoring and promoting events, writing articles, stories and race reports, to becoming the Race Director for the NASA Pro-VW Drag Racing Series. I have been involved with VW Clubs and have seen them come and go. To this day I am still active in the club scene. I volunteer to work a number of VW events including car shows, rallies, and remain very active in VW Drag Racing. This year alone I have presided over 11 VW Drag Racing events.
I currently write for NASA Speed News, Grass Roots Motorsports, Classic Motorsports, and two other websites that I also pull double duty as a moderator. With the invitation to become a team member of the staff of UAC, I will re-evaluate my priorities and hope to focus on and spend more time at the ultimate VW website, Ultimate Air Cooled.com -Thanks for having me.
